The 2012 Grammy Awards haven't named an official host in nearly a decade, however, they have just tapped legendary rapper LL Cool J to helm the live broadcast next month.

The two-time Grammy Award winner has hosted the event's live nominations for 4 years straight since 2008, but this is the first time that he will be hosting the big show itself.

LL told press, "I'm thrilled to be part of Music's Biggest Night. I will always have fond memories of my first Grammy Awards and to now be hosting the Grammy show, in the company of so many other incredible artists, is a dream come true."

The 54th Grammy Awards are set to air on February 12 on CBS at 8 p.m. ET/PT with performance by Jason Aldean, Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj, and others, so don't miss out!
