After a suspenseful episode, Pretty Little Liars returns with yet another thrilling plot line where the girl’s step one step closer to the true identity of ‘A’. Emily rejoins the swimming team and is welcomed with a win. While everyone is celebrating Rosewood's win, the Rosewood police comes to confiscate Caleb's computer under the jurisdiction that they have the belief that he is hacking into other people's computers.
Hanna is being the worrisome child that she is, and contemplating for the worst. She tells Caleb to delete everything on his computer by hacking into his own network. However, he tells Hanna that he can't hack into his own laptop because his computer is offline.
Aria refuses to go on anymore "Secret" dates with Holden unless he confesses where he has been during the dates. He finally admits that he has been participating in a Korean martial arts program, despite his parent's diaapproval. He convinces Aria to promise to go on another date, to allow him to participate in an upcoming tournament. Prior to the date however, Aria discovers about Holden's heart condition, prompting some concern.
The tension between Spencer and her family has yet to rekindle. Now, Spencer can only turn to Jason for answers, whereby they discuss about Alison's murder. Jason tells Spencer how he had found $15,000 in Alison's box of belongings and they conclude that Alison could have been possibly blackmailing Spencer's dad, after she discovered his secret.
Continuing from the previous episode, Aria sets up a meeting with the man that they had talked to earlier named Jonah. The man tells Aria about how Victoria (Alison's persona) had hired him to investigate who had been texting Alison under a blocked number.
The girls' believe that by acquiring this information, they would be able to step one step closer to who A is. They are all united that they must find $2000 to pay the man for the information.
Meanwhile, Aria and Ezra's love is just about to re-bloom again. Conversely, Ezra is now being conflicted as to whether he should accept his promotion on Olsen. Hanna and Ezra decides to thoroughly talk about the promotion during an upcoming "fake" date with Holden where she would then depart ways with Holden.
Unfortunately, A leaves a letter on Aria's father's car informing him about the date between Aria and Ezra.
Additionally, adversities hit the girls once more as their past comes haunting them. The police invites Hanna in for questioning regarding Alison's murder investigation and her missing autopsy results. The detective shows Hanna a screen shot picture from a security video in front of morgue when Hanna and the girls were seen sneaking into the morgue (The day when the girls sneaked into steal Alison's autopsy reports.)
With no evidence on hand, they let Hanna go. Hanna convinces her mum that she had nothing to do with the stolen report files and the only reason they had sneaked into the morgue was because of a dare.
Alison returns to her home where a party for the swim team had been organized. She tells Spencer and Emily why she had been called into the office. She reveals that Wilson is back in town whereby photos of them in front of the coroner's office has been unveiled.
Spencer leaves the party early to find Jason. She asks him to borrow $2000, promising him that the money will give them answers relating to Alison's murder.
On the other hand, Aria is becoming concerned about Holden's well being. She ditches the date with Ezra to go and supervise Holden at his tournament. Aria attempts to convince Holden to not enter the tournament as this could possibly be a death trap. Holden reveals to Aria that he has an abdominal aorta aneurysm condition meaning that it can rupture anytime whether he is in the tournament or not. Thus, he prefers to do what he loves before his time is up. He promises Aria nothing extreme will happen. Aria agrees and stays to watch.
Caleb goes to the police office in an endeavor to retrieve his laptop - of course under one condition, if he cooperates with the police. Caleb agrees and prior to entering the investigation room, he calls Hanna to help him delete any harmful files on his laptop.
The most important moment arrives and Hanna cannot hack into Caleb's computer hard drive because she cannot remember his password. Luckily before Garrett and the detective finds any evidence of foul play, Hanna is able to decipher his password and delete all the files associated to any criminal charges on his computer.
Ezra arrives at the meeting location to find Aria's father sitting in the mini bistro. Before Mr Montgomery sees him, Ezra leaves. Meanwhile at the tournament, Holden had won!
The episode ends with a suspicious character spying on Spencer.
Was Holden just added into the cast as a fill up? Joining the cast half into the season, you expect Holden to be more involved with A but as it turns out, the producers have all gotten the better of us as now it is obvious that he is not involved with A at all! cries*
Anyhow, the plot is obviously getting more suspenseful especially with 7 several mini events all occurring at once ie; Caleb's interrogation, Hanna hacking into the computer, Spencer out asking Jason about Alison and Ezra and Aria's relationship.
Definitely keeping us off our feet!
So, that’s my thoughts. What did you guys think?
Stay tuned for more recaps of PLL!
